At the Sokolski dom in Škofja Loka, we designed and implemented the renovation of the multi-purpose cultural hall and the focal point of cultural events. As part of the restoration of the Crystal Hall and Gallery, we envisioned the replacement of flooring, joinery, and other equipment. The main thread of the project was the selection and interlacing of various materials with upgraded lighting.

The use of materials and textures forms the contrasting narrative of the two spaces. In the gallery, we used stone, metal, and white surfaces to create an unobtrusive backdrop for artwork. As a contrast to the cool spaces of the gallery, we used wood and wooden furniture in the Crystal Hall to create a cultural space which radiates hominess and warmth.
